Katie Teets Bradshaw Comfort House, Inc.
The Katie Teets Bradshaw Comfort House came alive because of a spectacular young woman who knew she was destined for great things. Katie, the driving spirit of this program, lost her fight with cancer at the age of 28 on June 25th 2021. She lived her life helping others and even made it her career. Katie served as a RN in Winchester Medical Center's ICU as well as a RN at Shenandoah Oncology. Through her diagnosis and grueling battle she voiced, "This isn't it, I'm destined for something big." Katie's destiny will live on through the Katie Teets Bradshaw Comfort House. The one's we hold dearest should be in total and complete comfort, even when the end is imminent along with their family/friends. While Katie was surrounded by her loved ones when she passed away, comfort and a sense of being home were not very prevalent. Our Goal is to provide our loved ones and those with them in these trying times, a peaceful and comforting atmosphere. We need your help to make Katie's destiny a reality. The Katie Teets Bradshaw Comfort House will be a place where families can spend their last moments with their loved ones in a private room with all of the accommodations that make a house feel like home. The driving force behind this dream will be the donations of those that knew Katie and her loving and fighting spirit as well as those who know the pain of saying goodbye. We, along with your help plan to change the entire face and stigma behind comfort care. We have set up a nonprofit and plan to partner with investors to make this happen in order to make saying goodbye a little less painful. Thank you and God Bless.
