Katie Vanderveen-Bacon memorial and child expenses
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I had to announce the passing of Katie Vanderveen-Bacon.
Katie unfortunately fell ill with COVID-19 in late November 2020. She was hospitalized the weekend of December 19 and had to be quickly put on a ventilator. She fought so hard, but unfortunately lost her battle on January 12, 2021.
She leaves behind her husband (Dustin), two beautiful daughters (Jayla and Elliotte), two step-sons (Gabriel and Gage) and so many extended family.
Katie was fun loving, full of life, a fierce fighter, wonderful wife, and amazing mother.
Many people have reached out asking where to send flowers or donations. Any funds received will go towards the cost of her arrangements. Any excess will go towards ensuring the future for her children.
In leu of flowers please consider donating here or to NDSS (National Down Syndrome Society ndss.org)
