Katie Paulson's Medical Bills

Katie Paulson was the victim of a hit and run driver early Saturday morning (July 19,2014).  The police are still looking for the suspect.
What many people hearing this story don't know about Katie is that she's one of the kindest people I've ever met.  I met her when she began volunteering for The Pet Project.  She's so dedicated that even after this horrible thing happened to her, she had the presence of mind to let me know that she wouldn't be able to make it to an upcoming event.  Jeez.
Another thing that the public won't know is that Katie has just had the roughest 6 months of her life. It's been one thing after another, the worst of it being that her mother, Bonnie, is fighting cancer right now.  Her family was worried about paying for her treatment and now this has happened.  She really can't get a break.
