Katie’s KICKIN’ Cancer…PART 2.

Hi all! I am here to talk about my sweet friend Katie.

Katie was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) in May, 2022. She underwent surgery, treatments, trips to the emergency room, and multiple hospitalizations to be able to RING THE BELL on January 19, 2023! The CT scan confirmed, she was indeed cancer free. The excitement of remission came to a screeching halt when she was admitted to the hospital on February 12, where she found out the cancer has metastasized.

On March 15, Katie will have a port placed and begin immunotherapy treatment for the next 2 years.

Katie is one of the strongest women I have ever met. She has always put forth the attitude of “I’ve got this” and she has. With grace. Without asking anything from anyone. She is an AMAZING mother to the adventurous little Waylon and a great friend!

This is where we need your help. Katie will be traveling to Fox Chase in Philadelphia for treatments. The cost that’s associated with travel expenses and medical bills can be overwhelming. Extra money would also help alleviate the financial burden on her husband Rick for every day expenses.
