Katie's Road To Recovery From Liver Transplant

Donation protected
Katelyn "Katie" Kleinknight's family is asking for help. The past few months have been very rough on Katie. Unfortunately, she was hospitalized at the end of June in Fresno, CA. It was quickly determined that she needed to be moved to Stanford for care to continue. During this journey, it was made evident that a liver transplant was needed as soon as possible. The days leading up to that call have been hard on the entire family as one can imagine. Her precious children remain in Fresno and were unable to communicate with her due to the severity of her health. However, prayers were answered on Thursday, July 27th when a donor's liver was a match! After a lengthy surgery, Katie's body seems to be accepting of the new liver and now has a long road to recovery. There are many hurdles yet to go over before she is released to begin her rehabilitation. All of this will need to be in the Stanford area. The family is asking for donations to cover medical costs, housing costs during rehab, and other expenses related to this journey we never saw coming. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping this sweet young family.
