Katie’s M.D. journey

One of my dear friends, Katie Deaver, was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy two years ago at the age of 23. When we found out Katie had MD, we didn’t really know anything about the disease. She researched types for a couple of months and went to see numerous doctors. It’s been a long journey just trying to uncover which form of MD she may have. At this time it is unclear. Katie recently discovered a stem cell therapy that will help her regain strength in her arms and legs. The stem cell therapy is very costly, but if it makes her feel any better then it’s worth the cost. Katie has a kind heart and didn’t want to just ask people for a donation. Instead she started selling body butter as a way to make money in order to receive the stem cell therapy. I know that some people don’t really want to body butter and instead would like to donate money to her cause. If you would like to help Katie then I just ask to donate anything you can even if it’s just a dollar. Katie would appreciate anything. She has received a lot of support and love.
