Katie's Road to Recovery: Medical assistance

Hello everyone! I am sharing this for my daughter Katie. She’s your favorite bartender and the ray of sunshine in every room. As much as my daughter loves to help everyone else, she is terrible at asking anyone else for help and I hate to see her struggling and depressed, which if you know Katie is not normal.

Katie sprained her ankle pretty severely which has forced her to be out of work for almost a month, which if you bartend you know that missing that many days—and not being able to walk properly—is dire. After 5 weeks of resting and light duty at work (which cut her hours), she was good to go. While skating this past Wednesday night she fell on her ankle again injuring it far worse. She lives alone, has been paying for her doctors visits out of pocket because she doesn’t have health insurance yet, she’s a diabetic and has two cats that depend on her. While we’re waiting on the prognosis from this fall, she knows that this feels far worse than last time and was already trying to catch on her bills and medical expenses and now they will only continue to pile up.
