Katie’s Cancer Battle Round 2

Hi everyone, Katie Histing was originally diagnosed when she was 17, with Ewing’s Sarcoma, during Christmas of 2018. Ewing’s Sarcoma is a rare pediatric bone cancer. She went through one year of treatment, which included: 17 rounds of chemotherapy, 7 surgeries, 30 blood transfusions, and fighting off sepsis. Katie recently had a biopsy on what we thought was an inflamed lymph node, however, it ended up being cancer again. After being one year cancer free, finishing one year of college, and getting back to her normal life, Katie has relapsed. On December 23, 2020, almost two years to the day she was originally diagnosed, we found out that Katie will have to fight Ewing’s again. We are unsure of the staging and treatment options, but will be sure to keep everyone informed. These funds will go towards Katie’s treatment expenses, travel for treatment, and anything else the Histing family might need.
