Katie's Journey-Craniopharyngioma
Donation protected
Katie's Journey started when she was 11yrs old in 2009 when she was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, Craniopharyngioma. In August 2017 Katie had her 11th brain surgery to relieve fluid pressure and remove the remaining tumor. Shortly after her surgery Katie suffered a massive mid brain stroke. She has been hospitalized since August, almost 1yr. She was recently placed on life support while her lungs healed from pneumonia. The breathing tube was removed 2wks later. Katie continues to fight every day to survive. She is being released from the hospital on July 10th. We will go home and continue her fight to recover. Although Katie sleeps most of the day she does have moments of alertness. She speaks softly telling us she wants to continue to fight. The stroke left her unable to open her eyes but when she smiles she lights up the room. Your donations will help give Katie all she needs to recover. We hope to buy her a new wheelchair and Van so she can get out and enjoy life. Please help us bring Katie home.
