On October 22, 2015 heaven gained a beautiful angel.
Katie was a loving daughter, wife, sister, niece, cousin, friend and to many a hero.
Katie always put others first and no matter what she was fighting or going through she always wanted to take care of those she loved.
Kate has touched so many people and left a lasting impression on our hearts.
This fund is a way to carry on her legacy of caring for others as we know she would want! So in lieu of sending flowers please donate here. These funds will be donated to help other families who are faced with the battle of cancer.
There are many expenses not covered by insurance companies for those who choose to head to the Mayo Clinic to recieve treatment as Katie did; expenses such as travel, room and board, etc.
There are discounted options such as the Hope Lodge and other private rentals that are offered for patients and their families, but they can still add up.
Jon, Katie's loving husband, would like to use this money to help other familes that are going through the same hurdles they did over the past few years, knowing that by eliminating the worry of how they will pay for a place to stay while receiving treament can help let them focus on fighting the battle!
