Katrell's homegoing services

Greetings and well wishes to all family and friends,

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce that on Friday, July 19th, 2024, our beloved son, family member and friend Katrell Antonio Barksdale was called home to watch over us all at the far too young age of 22.

Although Katrell was only with us in the physical for a short time, he has blessed us with 100 life times of love that we will use to keep his memory alive and well through all who cared for him and whose life he positively impacted.

As well as being a cherished family member and friend, he was also a loving father to his beautiful 16 month old baby girl Kaileigh "Tootie" Barksdale-Thornton, whom we are blessed with to have as a little piece of him to keep his spirit and legacy with us as we all learn to process his untimely passing. This little princess is going to need the help of her village to assure that she is well taken care of and her quality of life is never impacted as we all assume the role of her care takers in the absence of her daddy.

If any family, friends or kind soul would like to donate/contribute any amount would be a blessing. ALL proceeds will go directly to his homegoing expenses and to aiding in the care of little Kaileigh. These are financially tough times for us all so we understand that any donation of size is truly a sacrifice and means that much more.

Peace, blessings and prayers to all that are affected by his passing, And even though it will he extremely difficult we have to lean on each other for strength as we process this and do everything in our power to keep his name alive.
