Katrine and Charlie’s Medical & Recovery Expenses
Donation protected
On April 18th, two vibrant young women, Katrine Sinclair and Charlie Lastowsky from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan were tragically struck by a car while walking a cross walk in Las, Vegas Navada. Both sustained severe life altering injuries which lead to undergoing surgery, they are both in hospital care in the U.S. They are far from home, without access to Canadian healthcare, and—most urgently—without health insurance to cover the overwhelming medical expenses.
These incredible women are daughters, sisters, and friends with bright futures ahead of them, they recently graduated together as paramedics. This trip should have been a life-enriching experience but turned into a devastating and traumatic ordeal in a matter of seconds. They have already undergone surgeries and face a long, painful road to recovery—physically, emotionally, and financially.
Because Katrine is uninsured, her family is now burdened with rapidly mounting medical bills, emergency care costs, and the expense of getting her home safely when the time comes. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward her medical care, rehabilitation, and the support she needs to heal and rebuild her life.
Charlie was fortunate to have partial medical insurance before departing Canada. The remaining medical costs are undetermined.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. These women didn’t deserve what happened to them—but together, we can help them survive it.
Thank you, Merci, ninaskomon for your compassion and support
