Kat's Birthday Blessing Fund – Back My Soul Craft Training

Hi Friends!

I'm raising funds to support some upcoming advanced training intensives that I'm intending to complete as part of my pre-requisites for a Soulcraft Apprenticeship & Initiation program through the Animas Valley Institute.

Similar to a graduate degree, this 2-6 year program "is designed for those called by Mystery to learn, co-develop, and implement an authentic, contemporary, Western, nature-based path to soul initiation."

I've been creating, developing, and facilitating transformational experiences, workshops, and trainings for clients, communities, and companies over 10 years. My medicine path as a practitioner came online when I started personally working with the Dagara shamanic lineage and traditions in 2019. I was later initiated as a stick and voice diviner in 2021. When I moved to DC later that year, I officially launched my psychedelic underground medicine practice and was soon gifted a medicine church – thus initiating me into one of the most intense years of my life learning how to steward a psychedelic spiritual community.

I've had multiple initiatory experiences, formal and informal, throughout my life that have opened the doors to the power of soul craft. What makes my soul come alive is walking and working with people who are standing at the threshold of significant thresholds, crossroads, or inflection points in their life – places of soul encounter, and portals of immense evolutionary change.

While this transformational passage is where I feel most alive and where I thrive in my work, it's become clear to me that I need more sustained training and education to serve at the level that I'm being asked to serve. This Soulcraft Apprenticeship & Initiation program is "dedicated to developing modern cultural formats that can help the Western world shift from a patho-adolescent emphasis on material wealth, escapism, and personal security toward a mature orientation of soul-discovery, authentic service to others, and true membership in the natural web of the more-than-human world." I believe this last bit is the most important piece to helping people become the change they want to be.

There is much to say on my reasons why I think this is the most effective training for me to participate in now – and if you have more questions than I've answered here, please feel free to reach out to me directly for a conversation on why I think this work matters and what I hope to do with my training.

For now, the extensive pre-requisites require that I complete several in-person immersions before I even apply to this program. I intend to use these donated funds to attend 2-3 required 5-day intensives, thus allowing me to successfully apply to this apprenticeship program.

As a medicine woman who runs her own healing practice, my financial situation ebbs and flows. My work responds to a lot of factors, some that I have no control over (like millions of people getting laid off from their jobs). I can pay my bills, but I don't have a lot of discretionary income that allows me to invest in trainings and travel at the level I desire to. Unfortunately, there are no scholarships available for these trainings. The amount I've asked for here would cover the intensives and associated travel costs (all of them are taking place in other states).

I know many of us are experiencing financial insecurity and so I make this last request only if you are in the position to give.
