Kat's 111 Mile Camino Walk for Fibroid Awareness
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
As some of you may know, I recently embarked on a significant health journey due to uterine fibroids. This journey led to surgery for their removal, including a total hysterectomy back in February of this year. You can read more about my experience here (https://www.gofundme.com/f/SupportKatsFibroidJourney) A huge thank you to everyone who sent their love and support.
After spending the last several months recovering, I have been inspired to give back and raise awareness about fibroids and women’s reproductive health. In a few weeks, I'll be undertaking a meaningful challenge: walking 111 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago over 8 days to raise funds for the Fibroid Foundation and celebrate my recovery. The Camino holds a special place in my heart since my first experience of its magic in 2011. I have returned many times over the years, and this upcoming journey promises to be especially meaningful.
Did you know that according to the National Institute of Health, 80% of women will experience fibroids in their lifetime? Yet, there is still so much unknown about this condition, leaving many women searching for answers and support. That's where organizations like the Fibroid Foundation come in, providing valuable resources, research and information. You can read more about their mission at FibroidFoundation.org.
If you feel compelled to support my cause, your donation would be immensely appreciated.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping raise awareness and support for those affected by fibroids. Thank you for considering supporting me on this journey.
With gratitude,
Kat DeWitt
