To everyone who has donated over the last few days, a thank you beyond words from Dave and family for your extreme generosity. The financial support as well as the outpouring of love and messages from Katy’s circle and community has been beyond anything expected.

This Go Fund Me is in memory of Katy Bartle, beloved wife of David and loving mother of Nolan and Lucy. Beautiful daughter of John and Iris Wood and daughter in law to Dale and Lynn Bartle. Loved by so many others, too many to name. An exceptional teacher, avid book reader, sunrise enthusiast, fierce friend, and just downright amazing, Kate will be missed by so many that she connected with during her time with us.

As many followed Katy’s courageous battle and victory against an aggressive form of breast cancer this last year and a half, her unexpected and sudden passing at 42 years of age from a stroke this past weekend before Christmas has left many saddened and reaching out on how to support Dave and their children.

Dave himself suffered a workplace accident weeks prior and is currently recovering from his own injuries. A truly remarkable Dad doing his best despite the setbacks they have been thrown.

Katy was loved by many and gave much of her time back to the community of Orangeville, whether it was her children’s sports or cheer teams or their school, shopping local businesses and services, she was one to always lend a hand and voice of support.

While a financial donation during the post Christmas season can understandingly be tough for some, please share any stories of Kate in the comments as those also provide a source of comfort for those who loved her dearly.
