“Joey, you’re just a nobody… Joey Nobody – that’s who you are kid, just a Nobody… JOEY NOBODY!”
That’s the story of how Joey got his name. He was 15 years old and just started an apprenticeship (if you can call it that), in his cousin’s tattoo parlor on Long Island, in New York City some 34 years ago. Some nicknames just stick ya know? Joey, The Nobody, or Joey Nobody as we all know him – is anything but… Chances are you’ve met Joey if you have a tattoo, and chances are if you got your work done around Virginia Beach, it may have been Joey that scarred you for life! He’s the epitome of “selfless,” when it comes to helping out anyone he considers family. If you’re in any kind of service at all – U.S. Military, Law Enforcement Agencies, Firefighters, spouses of service members or fallen service members, any kinds of folks that hold this country together – then you’ve probably crossed paths with Joey. He’s been a pillar amongst this community for a very long time. He has provided tattoos, graphic designs, memorial t-shirts, banners, posters and moral support to everyone who has ever known him. He has literally given the shirt off his back (several times) to help others out. Joey has recently fallen on hard times and is reluctant to ask for help. He was diagnosed with testicular seminoma. It has been contained and is under control, but at great cost - to his privates and bank account! As some of you may know, Joey was trying to incorporate “Warpaint,” and make a run of the American Dream. In doing so, he hasn't been able to get a solid medical plan with good coverage yet. Joey has never hesitated to help us out in any way, at the expense of his own time, money or resources. It's time for our community to show Joey the same support he has shown us time and time again. Donate today & show Joey the love he freely gives!
