Clean Water for the Kaxinawa

Donation protected

***UPDATE****

The well has been funded ( we received a private donation that wasnt taxed by gofundme) and is almost completed! We arrived at the village and were overwhelmed by the gratitude from each and every villager for bringing them the gift of clean water. We told how he achieved this - with the help of people from ALL over the world, and they were touched and sent their blessings to each and every one of you.

What we found were the most loving, gentle spirits that we had ever encountered and we knew right away that our work with them was not finished with the completion of this well.

The children need a new school - the one they have is dilapidated and they do not even have a proper chalk board. It is necessary for them to be taught in a proper environment so that their ancient teachings and wisdom do not die out and are carried on through the generations. We decided to run with the support we received and create a 'stretch goal' to raise funds to build them a new school. We need another $10,000 US to make this happen. If you feel called, help us preserve this beautiful culture by contributing to build the children of Novo Futuro a new school. Deepest gratitude from all of us for your support ! HAUX HAUX !

The Story

We all met Kaxinawa Master Shaman and Spiritual Leader Ninawa Pai Da Mata  in Alto Paraiso Brazil in mid-January 2015 at a month long indigenous workshop.

We Immediately bonded with his dream of harmony on earth and were inspired by his beautiful songs of the forest-  that without understanding a word of what he was singing and still connected deeply to his prayer of peace and Harmony on Earth.

We asked questions about his culture and his village and the people who lived there. We found a vibrant culture and a happy people who live without many basic human needs.
Ninawa told us that they are often short food and that many of his culture's traditions are dying out as they do not have a school - or much infrastructure at all.

Even worse, we found that his village doesn't even have an artesian well - and that they are forced to drink mud water when it rains.

We take water for such granted  sometimes - and here we find a group of people who do not have access to it. We knew right away that we wanted to help.

We found out how much it cost and knew we could help him get clean water to his village. We ask that you join us in this dream.

The Plan

His village, known as Aldeia Huni Kuin - Novo Futuro Terra Indigena Kaxinawa do Rio Humaita - Acre has about 100 people and is a remote area of western brazil- a four day journey by air, land, foot and boat from the nearest city of Rio Branco.

The plans and the people who build the well are all set, needing only enough financing to pay for.  We will head to his village to give him the money and commence the building of the artesianal well.

Ninawa is allowing us to document the experience - to show how his community is happy and thrives as they can despite what they dont have and to share much of his vibrant culture. It is important to us to support the preservation of indigenous culture.

We plan on documenting their culture and traditions and the village and sharing it with all of you - a unique inside look into a remote ancient culture as it attempts to subsist in the modern world.

We intend to use the footage we get to ask for grants for cultural preservation, so that later down the line, Ninawa can plan a school for his village - where he can teach the younger generation traditions that have been with his people for thousands of years.

Water is a basic human right and is the backbone of cultural preservation - join us in supporting this.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts !
