Help Kay Willson’s Family with Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Kay Wilson, affectionately known as our little musical Butterfly, has lost her courageous battle after being cancer-free for 20+ years. Unfortunately, the cancer returned with a vengeance, devastating her tiny body and taking her away from us too soon. Kay was an incredibly private person who didn't want to burden others with her struggles, which is why many were unaware of her condition until the very last moment.
Kay had two great loves in her life: her family and her music. She dedicated every waking moment to caring for her children and grandchildren, often sacrificing her own needs to ensure their safety and happiness. Though small in stature, Kay's presence was always filled with joy, creating an atmosphere of positivity wherever she went. She was a beacon of light, finding happiness in the simple things in life.
Kay was passionate about her music, living out her rock 'n' roll fantasies by losing herself in the melodies and the camaraderie of her music friends. There were no airs or graces with Kay—what you saw was what you got. She was straightforward, never pushy, and preferred to blend in rather than make a fuss. Her genuine nature and warm spirit endeared her to everyone who knew her.
As the matriarch of her family, Kay felt a deep responsibility to support her loved ones, often carrying the weight of their problems on her shoulders. A proud True Blue Aussie, Kay always sought to make the world a better place, whether through her actions or her unwavering love and support for those around her.
In the wake of Kay's passing, her family is faced with the overwhelming burden of funeral expenses and the costs incurred during her lengthy and difficult hospital stay. Kay was the primary support for her family, and her absence has left them not only heartbroken but also struggling to cope with the financial strain.
We are reaching out to our community, friends, and all those who were touched by Kay’s life to help lift this burden from her family. By contributing to this GoFundMe campaign, you can help pick up where Kay left off—supporting her family in their time of need and ensuring that her legacy of love and care continues.
Any donation, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated by Kay’s family. In these hard times, let's come together as we always do and help Kay to "let the music play."
As the INXS song, which Kay loved so dearly, says:
I was standing - You were there
Two worlds collided - And they could never tear us apart!
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Let's honour Kay’s memory by supporting the ones she loved most.
