Kayden Anesu Nyanhi

Hi, my name is Chiedza (Kayden’s Aunt), and I am fundraising for Kayden Anesu Nyanhi.

Kayden is a 7 month-old infant who has been diagnosed with a complex cyanotic congenital heart disease. He was recently treated for pneumonia and heart failure, during which his persistent central cyanosis was noted. His oxygen saturation levels are alarmingly low at 56%, and he experiences central cyanosis despite having normal pulses and palpable femoral pulses.

The echocardiography report reveals several critical conditions in Kayden's heart. He has been diagnosed with a secundum atrial septal defect (ASD) measuring 6.8 mm, causing a right-to-left shunt. Additionally, there is a very large ventricular septal defect (VSD) measuring 15.9 mm, resulting in a bidirectional shunt. The presence of a very small interventricular septum (IVS) indicates a functionally single ventricle. The atrioventricular valves appear normal, but there is an abnormality in the vessels arising from the right ventricle, with a suggestion of a narrower vessel. Unfortunately, no ventricular outflow tract was observed on the left side. The echocardiography report also confirms good ventricular function on the left side, no patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), and no stenotic lesions. The aortic arch is arching to the left side, and there is no coarctation.

Given the complexity and severity of Kayden's condition, it is imperative that he undergo open heart surgery as soon as possible. This surgical intervention will provide him with a chance at a healthy and fulfilling life. However, the cost of this life-saving procedure is substantial, and Kayden's family is unable to bear the financial burden alone.
