My name is Paige and I’m Kayeela’s daughter, as most of you know. My mom doesn’t do many things on the internet so I’m hoping to get this going for her.

Early Monday morning, March 18th, my mom had a stroke. Generally, she has been healthy. So we thought. After many, many tests, it was determined she had a stroke on the right side frontal lobe of her brain and at some point has had a heart attack in her lifetime. She also has more than 70% blockage in her carotid artery in her neck which she will need surgery for, in the coming weeks. On the 21st of March, she had two stints put in the right side of her heart, so she is still home recovering from that. She also learned she is type 2 diabetic. She has been in great spirits and we are truly lucky she is still here! She has no physical permanent damage to her body which we are also so thankful for!

I’m asking for funds to help her with the new list of medications that insurance doesn’t cover the full cost of. There’s one medication alone, that costs $500/month after insurance paying half. That’s ONE med. She has 6 medications now. If there’s anyone deserving of help, it’s my momma. She has always been the one to give, even when she doesn’t have. She gives so much of herself to everyone around her, she never seems to have time for herself. Now that she will be missing lots of work, paying for these medications will be a bit of a struggle and with hospital bills on top of that, I don’t want her overwhelmed with it all. If you can give anything at all, I appreciate you so much and I know my momma will even more!!!!
