Kayhi Football to the playoffs

Following a hard fought 8:6 Win in Barrow, AK on 9/22, the Ketchikan (Kayhi) Kings football team has made it into the 2018 playoffs!!!
(see link below for article in the Sacramento Bee about Barrow vs Ketchikan )
The Kayhi Football team has never made to this semifinal round of the playoffs -in fact, it is our first winning season for any of the current roster of boys - 11 of whom are in their senior year - they have practiced hard, played hard and poured their hearts (& guts) into this season. They miss school days and weekends off to travel for games. They bring homework and air mattresses to camp out in local high school gymnasiums after 24+ hours of air travel/hotels/van rides to get there. These Alaskan high school student athletes accept this as part of playing the sport they love - they are bonded & forged together by these experiences - this Kayhi Football teams motto from their head coach this year is “ALL IN” and that is visible on the field, on the road and at home - as is the pride in themselves that they have earned with grit and determination on & off the field.
Go Kings !!!!
The team will have to travel from Ketchikan, AK to Fairbanks, AK for the playoff match - that is a 985 mile journey - involving flying from Ketchikan to Anchorage to Fairbanks.
The flight cost round trip per player is about $1000 and they will need to stay in hotels for 1-2 nights.
The players and parents and coaches have all fundraised to off-set regular season expenses and our school district contributes generously during the season - but this will add a huge expense beyond what was budgeted.
We need big help & little help to cover this cost.
Every single contribution shows your support - and that is priceless to the team!!!
Thank you so much!
