Kayla, the 25-year-old daughter of Jillian and Jose Medina, had her life taken suddenly on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. She was a passenger in her friend's car helping to deliver newspapers when a dump truck ran a stop sign and hit her side of the vehicle - she died instantly. Nobody expects to lose their child and Jill and Jose are not prepared to pay for a funeral. Your donation will go directly to funeral expenses. Should there be anything leftover, the money will be put aside for Kayla's 4-year-old daughter Ellie. Thank you for helping this family to honor their daughter's memory and to say their goodbyes.

Kayla Rose Dowling, a vibrant soul who brought joy and love to everyone around her, has sadly passed away on October 11, 2023. Born on October 25, 1997, Kayla's time in this world was far too short. However, the impact she had on those who knew her will forever be imprinted on their hearts.

Kayla's career as a teacher at Without Walls Child Care Center, showcased her unwavering dedication to nurturing young minds. She possessed an extraordinary ability to connect with children and make learning a joyful experience. Her warm smile and compassionate nature created a safe and welcoming environment for all the students under her care. She later went to work at Wawa all her coworkers and customers loved her outgoing personality.

Graduating from Woodbury High School provided Kayla with a strong foundation for her future endeavors. During her time in high school, she achieved great success both academically and socially. Notably, Kayla was crowned prom queen, leaving an indelible mark on those magical nights that are forever etched in the memories of her classmates. As a cheerleader, she led the squad with unwavering enthusiasm, motivating her teammates to achieve new heights.

Kayla's exuberant personality added color and life to every gathering she attended. Bubbly, outgoing, and friendly describe just a fraction of who she was as a person. She effortlessly captivated any room she entered with her infectious laughter and sparkling personality. Kayla was often hailed as the life of the party—a true embodiment of living in the moment without fear of judgment or inhibition.

Marching to the beat of her own drummer was emblematic of Kayla's free-spirited nature. Unafraid to venture into uncharted territories, she embraced life with an open mind and open heart. Her unconventional approach to life inspired those around her to break free from societal expectations and embrace their individuality.

In addition to being an extraordinary teacher and a free-spirited individual, Kayla was a proud mother. Becoming a mother to her daughter Elliana was undoubtedly her proudest accomplishment. Kayla's love for her child knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with Elliana, instilling in her the same zest for life that Kayla possessed.

Kayla's memory will forever be treasured by her loving family and countless friends who shared incredible moments with her. She leaves behind her grieving but grateful parents, Jillian, Jose Medina, Ian, Michelle Hoffman, her siblings Kelsey, Maria, Alexis, Hailey, Ian Jr., and Stevie. Her daughter Elliana (dad Chris), nephew Elias will forever hold a special place in her heart. In addition to her immediate family, Kayla is survived by cherished grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who considered themselves fortunate to have shared a part of their journey with her.

During her precious time on Earth, Kayla reveled in the simple joys of life. Getting dressed up was always an occasion for celebration for Kayla; she exuded confidence and radiance wherever she went. Her infectious spirit reminded us all to find delight in the small pleasures that make life beautiful.

Apart from getting dressed up, Kayla found solace in simply enjoying life. Her vibrant energy was contagious as she sought out adventure and embraced every opportunity that came her way. No matter what life threw at her, Kayla faced it head-on with unwavering determination and an unwavering smile.

The legacy of Kayla Rose Dowling serves as an eternal reminder to live life to the fullest. Though our hearts ache at having lost such a radiant soul far too soon, let us honor her memory by embracing each day with the same vigor and passion that defined Kayla's remarkable journey.
