Kayla Tandy Memorial Bench Fund

Update: Any overage above the $4,400 goal will be put towards funding a Memorial Tree to be planted next to the bench in Kayla's honor (also done via the Westchester County Park Foundation), and/or a charity of the Tandy’s choice.

As you know, Kayla Tandy passed away on 6/28/22. She was kind, selfless, a wonderful sister, daughter and friend, and so loved by Claire, Pat, Sean and Ryan. She's missed every day by her family and friends.

To honor her memory, I'm working with the Westchester County Park system to install a memorial bench dedicated to her at George's Island Park. The exact bench location within the park is still to be determined, but the donation will include a brand new Dumor Style bench installed at the park, a plaque dedicated to Kayla with an inscription (decided on by the family), and upkeep for ensuing years. $4,400 is the total cost needed for the bench, and all money donated towards that fee will go only to the bench and to the memorial fund.

Until the money is raised and location of the bench is finalized, I'm hoping to keep this a surprise for the family, so please keep this a secret for now.

If you're interested in donating, please contribute whatever amount you feel comfortable with. No amount is too small, and all money will go towards funding the bench. If you're comfortable recording your name when you donate, I will share the list of donor names with the Tandy family as well. Feel free to share this with family and friends as well.
