Kaylee & Family purchase a home, We are currently homeless.
Donation protected

Hi everybody, my name is Candice Gladue, Kaylee Gladue is my 12 year old daughter. I've created this Go Fund Me to help us purchase a home and never have to worry about moving again.
We just want to have a happier and stress free environment for our family. Kaylee is an incredibly medically complex and fragile little girl. She has been diagnosed with congenital Scoliosis, severe Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and a congenital Heart Defect. Due to these significant medical conditions, She was dependent on life saving medications and continuous oxygen. Kaylee is followed closely by several medical teams at the Stollery Children’s Hospital including the Outpatient Cardiology team, Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Team and the Pediatric Surgical Team. Kaylee’s Pulmonary Hypertension has progressed to the point that treatments are no longer working- she needs a lung transplant to survive. Kaylee has been listed for lung transplant and unable to leave the hospital until she receives and recovers from double lung transplant. Kaylee and her family have been told this could take weeks to months to years. Kaylee and our little family have live at the hospital indefinitely as she is not well enough to live at home. Having a child in the hospital is not only a medical crisis but also a personal crisis for families.
On April 6th, 2025 Kaylee underwent a lung transplant, She is currently in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit recovering from this major surgery. The period after a lung transplant is a very critical and vulnerable time. It is imperative that Kaylee is safe and calm, so her body is able to rest and accept the new organs. Kaylee will require close monitoring for any signs of organ rejection or deteriorating. Kaylee will remain admitted to the hospital for an extended period of time while she heals.
We are a family of 4 and are currently homeless at the moment, I am not able to maintain employment due to extensive responsibilities related to Kaylee's care. This has led to our family to experience financial hardship for many years. We currently stay at bedside & have our luggage in our car, Once Kaylee is discharged we want to be able to have a home to go to.
Thank you in advance and God bless you.
