Kaylee's Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer Journey

While most people were filled with laughter and cheer at the start of the New Year, Kaylee Goins heard the words that no young woman in her early 30s expects to hear: "you have breast cancer". After discovering a lump in her breast over the holidays, Kaylee underwent several painful breast biopsies. The biopsies confirmed Kaylee and her family's worst fears. On February 22nd, Kaylee's oncologist diagnosed her with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Kaylee's cancer has unfortunately metastasized to her lungs. Beginning Monday, February 27th, Kaylee will start the long and difficult process of radiation and chemotherapy treatment.

"For those of you that don't know Kaylee, Kaylee is a loyal friend, a caring sister, a precious daughter, and a fun-loving, all-around crazy Aunt. Kaylee is a beautiful person inside and out. She'd give the shirt off her back to anyone who needs it.

Kaylee is an active 31-year-old. She loves to drive big motor-sports toys. She loves spending time on the boat in the summer. Kaylee loves her pitbull Apollo. One of Kaylee's most favorite things to do is travel. She loves to see new places. Kaylee has dreams of one day travelling to New York and visiting Times Square. She one day hopes she can see the Vegas Strip in person.

As of writing this, Kaylee's medical bills are being paid completely out of pocket. Kaylee has had multiple surgical biopsies, MRI's and CT scans. Kaylee has also been unable to work due to the many appointments she has had to attend. Her mom, dad, and sister Emily have been super supportive in her journey. However, transportation fees, monthly bills, and medication expenses are starting to accumulate. Any donations made to Kaylee's journey will be received with heartfelt appreciation.
