Kaylee’s Medical Expenses & Recovery

On Tuesday, April 25th my sister was on her way to work at 5:30am and got hit by a drunk driver traveling at a high speed. She was taken to Franciscan Hospital and then immediately transported to the trauma center at Christ Hospital where she was then put into the ICU. She has internal bleeding from her spleen, broken collarbone, broken shoulder, broken rib, fractured spine and a level 5 concussion.

Up until yesterday afternoon, she constantly kept going in and out of consciousness and couldn’t form sentences to talk.

She is scheduled to have surgery on her shoulder and collarbone Friday morning along with her spleen if it doesn’t stop bleeding by today. She is making excellent progress, is way more alert now and can finally talk again.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to say THANK YOU for all the prayers and overwhelming support from everyone. It’s a miracle Kaylee is alive and in stable condition. She is beyond strong and definitely had someone watching over and protecting her that morning.
