UPDATE, 9/24
Peter passed away Saturday, September 23, at 1:10pm. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and financial contributions. The funds that are raised will now go towards funeral expenses, lost wages, the loss of Peter's income, bills, etc. As you can imagine, this is a very tender time for Angel and their girls. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
With gratitude,

On Tuesday, September 12, Peter Kayembe suffered a massive stroke, leaving him in a coma and on life support. His wife, Angel, and daughters Deborah (16), Joyce (15), and Teresa (12) have been by his side in the ICU, praying for a miracle. Angel and Peter are both employed full-time but unfortunately, Peter was uninsured. The medical bills and loss of income during this time will have a tremendous impact on the family. We are trying to alleviate the financial stress while they navigate these uncertain times.
The Kayombo family resettled in the United States from Tanzania, after fleeing the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Peter wanted a better life for his family. He wanted them to have a safe place to call home and have opportunities in education and beyond. The stroke has been devastating and all funds will go directly to the family to help offset the mounting bills.
Thank you for helping to lighten the burden for this dear family.
