Kayshia (Kaye-Kaye) Battling With Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Hello family and friends, my name is Kayshia Davis forty-four (44) years of age, a mother of two (2) children and a female Firefighter of the Jamaica Fire Brigade for the past twenty-six (26) years. At seventeen (17) years, whilst pregnant with my first child, I overcome my first surgery (removal of an ovarian mass/cyst)… and within the past seven (7) years, I have also overcome three (3) major surgeries which caused both mental and financial challenges to my kids and me. Despite all my challenges, I am a kind, caring supportive, and loving individual who always has others' interests at heart.
In October 2022, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. My initial thought was, is this really happening, am I dreaming? I couldn’t even fathom that this was my reality. I then prayed about it, and it was then that I gained the strength and courage to figure out my next step…
After an extensive amount of research on the type of cancer diagnosis, I received, I immediately implemented a drastic lifestyle change and traveled to the U.S.A seeking medical treatment which has proven to be the very best. Here I was accepted by an experienced Oncologist at the Memorial Hermann Hospital and was scheduled to begin my course of treatment on December 02, 2022.
This plan, will span out over the next several months consisting of immunotherapy, continuous testing and retesting, Lumpectomy and Radiation, a Segmental Mastectomy, lymph nodes removal, and Port Placement for chemotherapy treatment. I am currently not medically covered in the U.S.A and have since received medical bills that are five figures, which I had to pay out-of-pocket as well as expenses for commuting to and from the doctor's office, and herbal diet to help battle this disease and support this significant lifestyle change.
Knowing how independent, resourceful and especially how private I am, this is the last thing I wanted to do, but I believe
I deserve the best fighting chance to defeat this!
I am praying for a speedy and healthy recovery, so that I may get back at my job, my kids and my life for many more years to come.
I would appreciate all the love and support from as many persons as possible; hence, I am truly grateful for whatever you can donate to help me fight this battle.
I will gladly update you on my progress and treatments. Please I beg you for your help in prayers, considerations, contributions and love.
Thanks in Advance
