Kaz Strong Fundraiser
Donation protected
This fundraiser was created on behalf of Tracy Kasten and his family.
Tracy contracted COVID-19 in early March 2021 and was hospitalized. After a week’s stay, Tracy was sent home, but only to return the following week after he had developed several blood clots in his lungs and legs. He was released with medication and on oxygen. Initially he was doing great, but after a few short days he was rushed back to the hospital and diagnosed with severe bacterial pneumonia and post covid-syndrome, which is a new condition that doctors are still learning about. It is hard to put into words what the last 30 days have been like for Tracy and his family.
He is still currently in the hospital, and although the doctors have told us he no longer has the active virus, the post-covid syndrome has taken a heavy toll on Tracy, leaving him with severely damaged lungs. He is currently fighting for every breath in the ICU at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO and has been placed on the National Lung Transplant list. Tracy and his family are convinced that he will beat this but he has a long road in front of him.
As many of you know, Tracy owns and operates his business, Kasten Plumbing and Heating. He is a 1-man operation and without him being able to work, his income has come to an abrupt and complete stop, however the bills have not and the medical costs are adding up daily. Asking for help is never easy but in the coming months, Tracy will need to receive multiple treatments and therapies on his road to recovery from doctors who may not accept his insurance.
ANY size donation to assist with the financial burden that has been brought upon him would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to Tracy’s medical costs, treatments and to help cover his monthly and daily expenses.
On behalf of Tracy, the Kasten Family, his extended family and closest friends, we appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and support shown over the past few weeks.
