B.P. Douglas Park Project
Tax deductible
A renovation project, led with a beautiful vision by Gainesville community member Latecia Hendricks, for the B. P. Douglas Park, which is named for B.P. Douglas, the principal of Gainesville's Booker T. Washington School for African Americans, and later the principal of Gainesville Junior High post integration in 1966. The amazing vision includes a new playground set, button operated splash pad, benches, exercise equipment, and a Legacy Memorial to honor B.P. Douglas and his lasting impact on our community.
With 16,725* people in Gainesville, if every person gave $20 we would raise $334,500. That's $64,500 more than we need for this project.
PHASE ONE
Playground/Basketball Court - $42,000 - 100% RAISED
PHASE TWO
Fitness Area & Splashpark - $188,000 - 2% RAISED
PHASE THREE
B.P. Douglas Legacy Memorial - $40,000 - 0% RAISED
