Support Ryan's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Sunday, February 2nd, Ryan was in an awful dirt bike accident. What we thought was a dislocated knee turned into his arteries behind his knee being severed, and he almost bled out. His leg then cut off circulation, causing compartment syndrome. Desert Valley performed a bypass of his arteries and a fasciotomy and then transferred him to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital Monday morning. Since arriving here, he has gone through a total of 5 surgeries now. He has an external fixator along with a wound vac over his fasciotomy wounds. He’s in a great deal of pain, and he still has many more surgeries to go before they can fully close up the wounds. He’s going to need skin grafts to finish closing the wounds and then tendon repair surgery after everything else has healed.
He has a LONG road to recovery, and still a few weeks at minimum in the hospital.
We haven’t left his side and don’t plan on doing so. We got lucky and are staying at the Ronald McDonald House right here by the hospital.
But staying down here has its extra expenses on top of having to be off work and find childcare for younger siblings. Anything and everything will help and will go to our continued stay down here and any extra supplies that will need to be purchased for Ryan’s return home.
Thank you everyone, please continue to pray ❤️
