Hi My name is Lori and I’m here to tell you a story about my brother-in- law, Timothy Martin.

He’s been in my life 34 years and has just always been there. For me. For family. For friends.

July 2023 we lost Daddy and our family was in a sudden whirlpool of grief

Tim had not been feeling well and went to the VA for help. Blood work was normal so nothing more was done. August came and he was still not feeling better. Back to the VA he went. Sciatica pain and prescribed muscle relaxers. Same thing in September, October, and November. No diagnostics were ordered just muscle relaxers.

In December, he went to urgent care twice… based on previous reports it was written down to sciatic pain. A third trip in late December resulted in a transfer to the Emergency Room for diagnostic tests.

Cancer was found.

He was transferred to Main Methodist an hour away from his home for more diagnostic testing .

The final report was kidney cancer which had metastasized along his spine up to his brain. He had seven tumors as. Christmas gift. Along with a ten day hospital stay.

He was allowed to go home for New Year’s and to begin radiation treatment, chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Three months later and three more hospitalizations and here we are… hospice care and 14 tumors.

He has insurance but medical bills are still piling up.

He is an Army Veteran and has worked hard his whole life but this time he needs help.

He needs the help to have one less huge burden off his shoulders.

He’s terminal and his end is coming but please let it come in comfort and care.
