Hi! They say it takes a village to raise a child. Today, a group of baseball moms are reaching out to our extended village to help support one of our own.

In short, we are asking for support for the family. Weston’s mom Renee runs her own business, and we hope this fund will help carry them through a difficult time and allow them to focus all of their energy on Weston. That help may come as financial support, cards for Weston, prayers, or a home-cooked meal.

Have you ever wanted to bottle a laugh to share with the world? See a child that has faced tremendous adversity but is always smiling? Laughing? Despite the odds, running around? If so, you may very well have been around Weston.

At eight months old, Weston was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. However, if you saw him running around the baseball field, chasing other kiddos or watching his big brother play baseball with intense focus, you wouldn’t necessarily know that he had CP. In August of 2021, Weston was enjoying a day at the Golf Ranch with his Dad and brother. Initially, it was feared that he had suffered a stroke. However, after several doctors appointments, an MRI MEG scan, and multiple EEG inpatient stays, he was diagnosed with ESES (Electrical Status Epilepticus In Sleep), which is a rare form of epilepsy. This sweet kiddo started Pre-School this year and was all smiles from ear to ear, despite having been through so much.

After a recent Neurology appointment in early October, Weston was placed back into Phase 1 surgery evaluation. He will be having two surgical procedures on his brain. The first will be on November 29th, with the second procedure most likely taking place 4-6 weeks later.
