Growing Osmani Family
Hello—we are Natalie and Ahmad. My husband and I recently moved back to the United States after working abroad for a number of years, and we are here starting from scratch. Shortly after our arrival, things in Ahmad’s home country began to collapse—and we were lucky enough to be able to get his siblings out. Being minors that were at risk with the collapse of the country, we will become their permanent guardians here in the States. We have been a family of 3, but now with Ahmad’s 3 siblings joining our family very soon, we need to raise funds to help with immediate needs. They have been evacuated and are in a holding situation until all paperwork can clear. We will be furnishing a house, possibly paying a down payment on a house big enough for 6, and getting a car that can hold 6 passengers. Ahmad’s siblings will be coming with the clothes they wore out of the country. Each of them will need to be clothed, insured, get ESL classes to learn English, etc. I am sure that this huge figure will go a long way, but not cover all we expect we will encounter with this new family transition in this first year. Thanks to all for being willing to help us get our feet on the ground!
