Help Karen McKenna Fight Cancer

Our dear friend, Karen McKenna, affectionately known as “KK”, needs our help. She was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as Ampullary cancer. It occurs when cancer starts in the part of the body called the ampulla of Vater, which is a small opening where the pancreatic and bile ducts connect to the first part of the small intestine. KK will be undergoing a lengthy and complicated surgery on October 8, 2021. While she is eager to have the surgery and move forward, she is anxious about the exorbitant cost of the surgery and care during recovery. Her recovery is expected to be many months and may include chemotherapy.

 

KK is a dedicated and caring friend, who has always supported others in times of need. Now she needs us more than ever. Our goal is to make sure her focus is on healing without worrying about the costs associated with her care. We are hoping to raise as much as possible to help offset the costs of her medical expenses and cost of living expenses.
