24Hr Solo Cycle In Support of James Cook Hospital

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

From 10am on Friday 3rd April until 10am on Saturday 4th April, four soldiers from the Royal Lancers will each complete a solo 24 HOUR CONTINUOUS WATTBIKE CYCLE to raise money for the NHS. This will see SSgt Steve Burnell, Cpl Jon Bott, Cpl Brett Chaplin and Cpl Evan Galloway test the limits of their physical and mental endurance.

We are doing this challenging event to raise money for the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The money will be going to Ward 15 of James Cook University Hospital, which is currently treating many of the Covid-19 patients within the North-East. As we all know the nurses and doctors are all working really hard during this difficult period. So we want to show our appreciation of what they are doing. We have spoken to the Ward sister who has told us the money will be spent on much needed PPE and emergency equipment which is in extremely short supply.

We would be really grateful if you could donate a small amount to this amazing cause and show some support to the NHS. Even if it is just £1 or £2 – every little helps. The full duration of the 24hour cycle will be streamed live on Facebook and Instagram. You can tune in to show us some support and laugh at us as we will most probably be a bit worse for wear. We will have a donation bucket up at The Royal Lancers Gymnasium for anyone who's out and about in Catterick and wants to give a cash donation.

STAY AT HOME, STAY SAFE, KEEP WASHING YOUR HANDS. SEE YOU ALL FRIDAY AT 10AM!!
