Becky's Medical Expenses

Hi my name is Brooke, for those of you who do not know me, I am Becky's daughter.

About a year ago, my mother was diagnosed with angiosarcoma. This is aggressive and fast-spreading cancer. We have been fighting this cancer for several months now with little success and actually, our biggest obstacle has been insurance. We traveled to MD Anderson for a second opinion and we were given hope and a new treatment plan however, after 6 weeks and insurance declining chemo we are at a standstill. Insurance has been difficult to deal with as my mother needs this treatment and we do not have the luxury of time. Her medications and treatments are insanely expensive even when insurance does approve them so I wanted to get her and Ken some help. Her current chemo pill she is trying to get approved comes with a co-pay of $6,000. That is for one medication and we are far from the end. Angiosarcoma is not like any other cancer. Its painful and if we can help take some of the stress away from her and Ken during this difficult time I want do that for them.

Finances should not be something people worry about while trying to treat cancer yet it seems to be the only thing her insurance is concerned with. Your donation will go towards the medical bills my mom is accumulating and help with any future co-pays or out-of-pocket cost they need to have to get her the treatment she needs.
