Help me cover medical costs!

Hi! I'm Heather, and I'm fundraising to help support myself as my medical bills have become ridiculous!

I have several chronic and debilitating illnesses that have no cures. I've kept working for the last 3 years as I've struggled to manage symptoms, find solutions, and push through. However, this year has been different. I've undergone multiple surgeries, with another coming quickly in April, and I've spent more money than I can imagine on care... I've spent over $10,000 since August!

Let me tell you why... I have Stage 4 endometriosis, adenomyosis, Ehler's-Danlos syndrome, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). These are all chronic, uncurable conditions that require constant and life-long management. Right now, the biggest issue is the Endo.

Over the last year due to the endometriosis, I have undergone 2 exploratory surgeries, a hysterectomy, and will have to have a much more invasive surgery this month to remove my left ovary, part of my colon, and potentially other adhesions that are found on the bladder and appendix. They just won't know how advanced it is until they're in there. I will be spending at least 3 days in the hospital after surgery (though they're predicting a full week), and won't be able to return to work for several months.

Unfortunately, this means that I will be taking a leave of absence for the second time this contract year. Missing 14 weeks of work is taking its toll, and any funds raised will go towards covering monthly bills and medical costs.
