Jack's emergency surgery

Hello, my name is Melissa. This morning, my border collie, Jack, ran out into the road looking for me after I left for work. He always stays in the yard so this was very out of character for him. Jack, was struck by a car. The impact tore his abdominal wall so his intestines are in between his abdominal wall and his skin. He will need surgery to fix this. I'm writing this as I'm on my way to the veterinary hospital so I am unsure of the extent of everything. If you can help our in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. He's our baby, we've had him since he was 8 weeks old. So far the vet bill has totaled around $8500 and they're talking about another surgery. He's is no longer at Animal Emergency Hospital. He's being seen at loving care clinic in Fremont, MI.
