Justice For Indigo

About Indigo
Indigo was unique. She brightened people's lives and had the cutest personality. She defended victims of bullying. Indigo was charming and vibrant. An elementary teacher says she was a princess, lighting up the classroom when she entered, welcoming everyone as she did so. A younger Indigo was great at soccer; older years volleyball was her sport. Indigo was multi-talented and passionately loved music; practicing guitar and piano brought her joy. She was also multi-faceted, loving travel and
sightseeing; she could not wait to see the world with her friends. Her dreams and goals were nurtured while consuming macaroons and Takis.

Indigo volunteered for Joy Ride, a horse-riding therapeutic center, during her 8 th grade summer. The volunteer of the summer award was granted to Indigo. She loved all children and was great with them. Working with disabled children became a goal during the Joy Ride summer. Indigo reflected heaven on earth through this work. A year later, her helpful nature turned to cosmetology. Working with hair and makeup
gave her joy in helping people look and feel their best. By her 10 th grade year, Indigo set her sights on becoming a counselor. With her caring spirit, she would have been a great counselor. Indigo had a heart of gold; she was sensitive, lovable, caring,
and bubbly.

Indigo left behind beloved siblings. Two sisters loved her on her father’s side. Also,
two brothers treasured Indigo: Tyler and Jude on her mother’s side. Jude was Indigo’s closest sibling; she was his best friend. Indigo’s loss is a nightmare for her parents, siblings, and all who loved her, and the world is robbed of a piece of heaven on earth.

Seeking Justice
On February 23, 2022, Indigo Garza was murdered approximately at 11:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Rosamond St. in Houston, Texas. She had just turned 20 years old in January. On her way back from the corner store a white SUV or minivan
pulled up and a man called her to the vehicle. She knew who he was and went over to talk to him; he shot her fatally in the chest. Indigo’s mother is happy with the detectives working on her case. However, they need the witness's help identifying the suspects responsible for her murder. Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspects in her case. Indigo’s family wants to get that amount higher to get the witness to speak up. $50,000 can
help!

How you can help
We, her family and friends, need your help getting justice for Indigo. Our goal is to raise $50,000. This amount of money has direct purpose. There were witnesses and people talk. However, for the witness safety, we feel this money could help the witness obtain a vehicle and relocate out of state if necessary. The witness’ life may be in danger after speaking out. Any amount of money you can give is appreciated. The donations will be transferred to Crime Stoppers of Houston with an announcement at a press conference. On request, proof of the transfer to Crime Stoppers can be provided. We
are confident the increased reward will help deliver new tips to the Crime Stoppers tip line.
