Changing my name, need help covering travel!

Hey there! I'm Amber Pogue, or I hope to be soon. I'm a trans woman and I've been living "out" for almost a year now, and juggling two names is starting to become a super real actual problem for me. I've messed up many times trying to set up financial stuff and other things I need my legal name on.

So I'd like to get it changed! But, I am in texas and my best bet for doing so is to travel down to Austin, which is a decent trek as I'm in the DFW area. And given how the system works I cannot choose my own date and do it when it would work best. Aaaand I am currently unemployed, and not able to afford such a trip at all. So that's where this gofundme comes in!

So a little breakdown on the funds I had planned around:

-I need to spend $10-20 to get my fingerprints taken

-I will need to catch a train to and from Austin, which will cost about $40 dollars each way

-Need about $100 a night for a hotel, for two days (amtrak is unreliable so I need an extra day of slack just in case)

-Allocating around $20 for each meal as I dunno what options I'll have, 3 meals for 2 days

Luckily I should have help from a friend getting around austin, so I don't need to worry too much on that front.

That all equals up to $420 which I went ahead and rounded up to $450 for a bit of extra slack in it all. Anything left over will go to important things like food and bills.
