Good day!
We are so CLOSE! Just a small amount will change a community.
$2,800 is needed to establish a bank account for the NGO KEAMEKO in Atakpame, Togo, Africa! It is virtually impossible for them and many other NGO’s in Africa to be able to access what is available and possible.
What funding can accomplish:
• 3 meals a day $1.10 TOTAL
• $3.00 gets a person clothing
• Yearly cost for education average is $116 per child
• Support programs such as soccer
Why the bank account matters:
It is essential for the NGO to maintain a bank account to properly account for activities that generate revenue and expenses. Until they establish an account, funding is limited from large sponsors such as FIFA. An example would be a $30,000 scholarship that is available for them to apply for and would almost be guaranteed to receive. They NEED a bank account.

Who and What is KEAMEKO
There are 45 people locally who have full time jobs and receive no support/funding from the government. They volunteer in 12 villages and 5 cities which includes over 670 children who they fully support (food, water, clothes and education) and more than 1,000 children who benefit from the various programs they provide.
They marginally achieve this by reaching out to their community and surrounding villages to raise funds to help provide education, school fees and supplies; food and clothing - for orphans and families with no revenue. They receive the majority of the donations from former volunteers and many of the current local volunteers put their own money back into the program. Some have even adopted orphan children into their families.

About the Organizer
I am Sophie Weber a student working on my degree in Entrepreneurial Studies who has been given the opportunity and is currently doing an internship/ volunteering in Atakpame, Togo, Africa! I am working with the NGO KEAMEKO to create a platform using media content and a website to bring awareness of their needs. As we have begun to work together I have learned that many of their options for funding are limited from large sponsors like FIFA for one reason only - they do not have a bank account.
Keameko is truly a north star for the children and communities they are able to reach. So I am here to ask if there is any amount you can spare to give, it will literally save lives.
SO LETS OPEN THIS BANK ACCOUNT!
Peace
