Support Keanu's Legacy of Love and Unwavering Kindness

In loving memory of Keanu Lehner-Villar, who was taken from us far too early on May 31th due to a tragic biking accident. Survived by not only his loving family but also by everyone who had the privilege of meeting him.

Keanu was a pillar of the Berlin gastronomy and rugby community, involved in a plethora of groups, making each a part of his extended family. His passion for good food and drinks, combined with his unshakable attitude towards helping anyone in need and being there for his friends in times of peril, made him someone we relied upon countless times. He cheered us up in our worst moments and made the grey life of Berlin much less dull.

Wearing the most colorful shirts and with a giant smile on his face, he brought us to dance, laugh, and enjoy copious amounts of the good things in life. A sommelier, bartender, chef, a man of a thousand talents, and above all, a friend who will be severely missed by everyone around him.

As Keanu was originally from Mexico, this GoFundMe page is set up to help the family deal with the stark German legal and regulatory fees involved in resolving the accident, as well as covering the expenses for funeral proceedings and transportation. All contributions will help ease these processes for the grieving family and enable a proper farewell to one of the kindest, most beloved people to ever exist.

An ADFC Berlin-organized memorial bicycle ride will be held on Friday, June 7th, starting at 4:30 PM at ADFC-Velokiez, Möckernstraße 47, Kreuzberg, and ending at the location of the accident at 5:30 PM for a memorial service at Lichtenberg, Storkower Straße (between Franz-Jacob-Straße and Thaerstraße). We are also planning a giant farewell fest to give everyone a space to grieve together; more information will follow.
