Update: 2/5/24
Moose's amputation procedure went great! The oncology specialists at Colorado Animal Speciality Emergency's (CASE) received the pathology report back from his bone tumor and have now rediagnosed him with Osteosarcoma. What does that mean? It mean's chemotherapy treatments look a little bit different and Moose, Sam and Becky will continue to fight to help make sure they do everything they can to stop any future spread of cancer cells. Moose will undergo 6 treatments of chemotherapy every 3 weeks, starting Feb 6.
We're beyond grateful of our friends and family and strangers who have been a rock of support for us since the New Year.
Our sweet boy Moose has an aggressive form of cancer called histiocytic sarcoma. It's extremely painful, but luckily he shows no signs of it spreading in other parts of his body, outside of his leg. The treatment has become super expensive, so I'm starting this page to help spread word and ask for any type of donations you may want to make to help out the second sweetest boy, Sam. I know he is super appreciative of the support thus far!
The treatment has included medications, x-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, chemo, and amputation. Moose just underwent his amputation surgery on 1/24 and doctors are optimistic he will live a happy and healthy life!
