On Saturday, Oct 22nd – we unexpectedly lost the best of the best, a Leominster Legend. Together with his family, our entire community in Leominster MA is mourning the loss of a remarkable Man – Ricky White Jr.
Wherever Ricky went, his infectious smile would greet you, and he was someone who led by example, the type of person this world needs more of. His selfless nature was admirable, as is evident through the countless number of comments, posts and pictures on social media from people whose lives were made better by knowing him.
He was a loving father to his son, his pride & joy - Keegan (13 yrs old) and was a great role model to the numerous young kids he affected in his soon-to-be 43 years of life.
Ricky graduated from Leominster High School in 1998, where he was a star running back and football team captain. He started playing at a young age and onto semi-pro teams after high school.
His genuine love for football shined as a Coach for the Leominster Youth Football & Cheer and the Leominster Flag Football League. Ricky has impacted all the children he interacted with in the years he spent leading by example as a Coach and mentor to many young athletes. His commitment to all the kids was authentic, proven time and again through the countless hours, he spent volunteering at the field and his genuine interest in people. Coach Ricky made everyone feel like family. A father figure to some, a brother to many, and an “uncle” to most.
Many people have asked how they can help someone who has given so much. We are raising money to help Keegan with expenses as he grows up without his Dad.
Please consider how your gift could help wrap collective arms around Keegan as he mourns the loss of Dad, and our dear friend, Ricky.
With immense gratitude for any donation, thank you.
