Keegan's Anti-Bullying Message
Always be kind to others and stop bullying are words that Keegan Beal lived by. He was a smart, compassionate, funny, brave and creative child with an old soul. Even people who didn't know him as a person were left with a smile when he held the door open for them as he tipped his signature fedora.
Keegan loved playing video games and reading, and had dreams of becoming both a famous Youtuber and an author. He loved super heroes and was working on his own comic book and super hero character, Night Strike. He emulated super heroes in his daily life as he tried to defend his fellow classmates who were victims of bullying. He even started an anti-bullying club at school.
His many talents included being an animal whisperer and the self-proclaimed "Greatest Sandwich Maker in the World." To say he had personality is an understatement! He performed enthusiastically in school plays as both a cow and a dog, and managed to steal the show with no lines at all!
Keegan left us all too soon, at only 11 years old, but he left us with a great message to always be kind and stop bullying! In our efforts to carry out Keegan's message and make sure he is heard we have started Keegan's Krew anti-bullying campaign. It is our mission to save as many lives as we can by spreading awareness, educating others, and offering support as we can.
Our goal is to turn Keegan's life long home into a community outreach center where every child can feel accepted and loved. We want to provide a safe haven where children can go when feeling troubled or bullied. We want to be a resource for parents and care takers who want to help their child who is struggling. We must stop the cycle and be there for our children. It takes a village to raise a child and that is what we are committed to doing.
As far fetched as our hopes and dreams may sound we have complete faith that Keegan's message will be heard and he will SAVE the lives of those around him. It is our hope to have this campaign up and running by Fall 2017.
