Don't buy me flowers...
In May of this year, Keely found out that her Uvea Melanoma had metastasized to her liver. She and Wyatt sought medical treatment at the Mayo Clinic where doctors tried immunotherapy and radiation to slow the spread of the cancer. Unfortunately, her body's negative reaction to these treatments made it impossible to continue and in July, Keely and Wyatt flew home to begin hospice. While at home, they surprised family and friends after a trip to the courthouse where they were married. Despite the circumstances, they made the most of their time together. From Wyatt, "I know without a doubt the love of my life is in a pain free body in Heaven with the Lord and lots of friends and family. She was truly such an amazing woman and I'm so glad that we were able to get married and I could call her my wife."
Keely wasn't a fan of flowers, she would say "all you do is spend money and then throw them away." In lieu of flowers, it is Keely's wish that donations be set aside for families in financial need due to medical hard times.
