Keen Lau and Loki Memorial Fundraiser
Donation protected
We the board of directors for the British Properties Area Homeowners Association; mourn the loss of our friend and civic colleague Keen Lau who passed away tragically and unexpectedly while trying to save his labrador Loki while hiking at Cypress Creek with his wife Lisa Park in West Vancouver on Friday, May 19th, 2023. Loki went into the water and Keen tried to save his dog and they both perished.
Keen was deeply committed to our community. He offered to serve on the council in the last municipal election. Keen was recently married to the love of his life, Lisa Park. Together they were looking forward to a shared life and creating a family. Keen is survived not only by his dear wife but also by his wonderful mother Chui Han and his caring brother, Lee. The family thanks you for your support during this time.
On May 29th West Vancouver District Council voted to name a new fitness park after Keen. It will be located in Ambleside Park, about 50m away from the dog park. It is located along the WV seawall with views of the Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park and the Vancouver Harbour. We will use the donated fund on enhancements to commemorate the life of both Keen and Loki. We also plan to set aside some funds for improved safety at Cypress Falls Park, details TBA.
We at the BPAHA are committed to working with the family and the municipality to ensure the funds collected will be 100% used as per the family's wishes.
Thank you for your donation.
