keep a black trans person housed & healthy

Hello, my name is Naburu (they/them/theirs). I'm a Nigerian-American musician, producer and cultural organizer with P0STB1NARY: A global, DC based art platform and cultural ecosystem uplifting Black and non-white trans & gender expansive people.
Since February of 2019, I have been organizing tirelessly with and on behalf of my community, Black trans cultural workers the world over. In the span of a year I have moved four different times but for the first time in my life I have safe stable housing that I can call home. However, like many others, I lost my day job and music gigs due to the pandemic but I was lucky enough to secure a mentorship within a Black, trans led business.
Today, I invite you and your peers to invest in me like I have and continue to invest in others. I invite you to invest in radical Black trans joy while I am still alive and breathing. I invite you to invest in the collective power of Black trans cultural work that moves and guides the world's innovations even during global uprisings and a pandemic.
I'm seeking to:
1) Raise enough money to cover rent and living expenses (gender affirming care, groceries, clothing, etc) for the rest of the year so that I can comfortably focus on my mentorship and my organizing work with P0STB1NARY.
2) Invest in my personal projects as well as the the projects of my Black trans + nonbinary peers.
3) Put myself in a situation where I can devote more time, energy and resources into the Black trans youth that I am lucky enough to mentor.
