Keep a Roof Over Dewey’s Head

This is my absolute last resort and I did not want to put this together. With that said, I have to humble myself and ask for help. Although I have been sober 4 months, my past is still a lot to clean up. I have been making regular payments to my landlord over the past 4 months and trying to get caught up. Unfortunately, I did not have a job until 4 weeks ago when I found a position at a local massage therapy office as a receptionist. I really love it and can't wait to continue my employment there. Yesterday, I received a 5-day notice to vacate or pay my $1300 in back rent. I applied for CORE rental assistance over a month ago and then they closed their offices. I know they are still processing applications, but they haven't reached mine yet. Even if they do cover my May rent of $725, I'll still have over $600 to pay from the 2 months prior when I initially fell behind. Here is the kicker - The management company will not accept a partial payment. I have until June 20th (specified as such on the 5-day notice, I know, it's not 5 days, I don't know why that is), to come up with the full amount. I have a small amount of money from my paycheck today and need $900 more to get the full amount together. I have also asked my job to increase my hours. Unfortunately, I will not receive another paycheck until after the 20th. I went to my bank to try and get a loan but I was denied. I do not have the title to my car, so I cannot get a loan there either. I am open to any and all opportunities to improve my situation - so please also let me know of any side jobs or animal care that I could help you with in exchange for your kindness. I also have calls into every organization out there to assist me in avoiding eviction, but have not had any luck thus far. If I do get assistance, I will update everyone here. An eviction on my record could further harm my existence and the fight I am already putting forth for my sobriety. Please help Dewey and I keep our home. All the love, Alanna
